The following links document the full body restoration of a 1978 corvette following major body damage resulting from unexpected contact with a road gator (truck tire peel-off). The gator was the entire round connected, not a long strip. It lodged directly under the front plate and proceeded to beat the tar out of the front end, throwing the car from side to side as various contacts grabbed the road temporarily. Eventually it threw us into the median where a secondary contact caused us to swap ends, threw the hood up, and plowed backwards for a while before stopping facing back the way we came. The tire wacking around under the car also managed to bend a fan blade up and cut a nice circle in our four row aluminum radiator too.
